Keep your kids active this summer by enrolling them in our Kids Fit program.
Beginning June 4th and continuing through July 25th, your children will have the opportunity to learn yoga on Mondays with Candace and HIIT training with Amy on Wednesdays.
Be sure to register before May 20th to qualify for early bird pricing.
What should we expect for Yoga and HIIT?
Kids Yoga is a fun, educational, and rewarding class! Participants will learn basic yoga asana; each will be encouraged to practice individual, partner, and group poses to promote strength, flexibility, concentration, and auditory skills in a non-competitive environment. Simple breathing techniques will be included to enhance the skills developed in the class.
HIIT Circuit training exercises for the littles will include jump rope, hop scotch, throwing balls, jumping in the air, hula hoop, ball pushes, relay races, jumping jacks and exciting cone dashes! The goal is to share basic technique coupled with how fitness is fun.
The older group will be developing better hand-eye coordination, challenging their cardiovascular system, speed, agility, balance and muscle strength. Our ultimate goal for school-age children will focus on building aerobic fitness. By incorporating circuits with simple calisthenics and familiar body weight exercises like jumping jacks, sit-up, push-ups, pull-up, chin-ups and jumping rope we will achieve that goal.
Timed dashes, high-knee skipping, giant steps down the length of the pit, "suicides" or cone to cone back and forth running are just some of the fun drills we will incorporate. We will also incorporate medicine ball throws, battle ropes and some dumbbell exercises to switch it up.

Does my child have to do all of the class? What if they just want to do Yoga?
Children are not required to sign up for all of the sessions. Once you have paid for your package you can choose which session they would like to attend. Keep in mind the program was built to progress your children through consistency and variety. The best results will come from sticking to our Yoga AND HIIT sessions once a week.
Your child can try the workouts first, just keep in mind once the program begins the price will go up.
Can children sign up for this program if no one from the family is a Bluewater fitness member?
YES! We welcome everyone looking to incorporate healthier habits into their routine with open arm. The fees will be slightly different for none members. If you are interested in becoming a member please tell the associate that reaches out to you to confirm your KIDSFIT position. At that time the associate will share any promotions we have going on and work with you to create the best option for you and your family.
What age should the children be that want to sign up?
We have two different time slots on both Mondays and Wednesdays. Monday we will be coaching Yoga at 3-3:45p for 4-6yrs and 4-4:45p for 7-11yrs. Wednesday we will be coaching HIIT at 3-3:45p for 4-6yrs and 4-4:45p for 7-11yrs
